Representation of Youth - Kidulthood and The Breakfast Club

Similarities:
  • Both films are set in schools 
  • There are many different personalities that have been portrayed such as the group leaders, social outcasts, rebels, geeks, followers, and the popular crowd 
  • In both films there are bullies who pick on the victims and then there are followers
  • both films display a lot of peer pressure where different people feel the need to follow what the majority are doing
  • Drugs and Sex are popular and show how people are influenced into many things 
Differences:
  • Kidulthood is more modern which is portrayed by the clothes, slang, the way the kids act and music. Also it is a british film set in the streets of London.
  • The Breakfast club is set in the 1980's which shows the difference in clothes, the slang and behavior of children. Also its set in America which has many differences.
